* Paper Magic

It's no secret that I {luv} paper.  Not just any paper.  But opulent, decadent and delicously posh paper!

That being said, my blog strolls can always be halted by a display of beautifully eye-catching paper.  And, one of the many pluses to being in the event business is meeting {sometimes in person and other times via my seemingly endless but always wonderful blog strolls} so many other amazingly talented people!  Such is the case with  Lisa R. Zachery, the sassy and creative woman behind the vision that is Papered Wonders, Inc.  Thanks to the wonder of social media {read: Face Book} I had the pleasure to 'meet' this paper diva and experience the wonder of her work.

Suffice it to say, I have to share all of the paper deliciousness::

Announcing Pantone...Colour of The Year!!

According to the colour experts at Pantone, "Combining the serene qualities of blue and the invigorating aspects of green, Turquoise inspires thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a comforting escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing."

Here's the entire story according to Luxist.

The experts at Pantone offers that, 'in fashion, Turquoise makes a statement that can look elegant and dressy in fine silk and gemstones, or casual and fun in cotton and athletic apparel'. It appears that 'the First Lady' is very much aware of this, as she is seen here in this picture taken on December 2 , 2009 while unveiling the White House holiday decorations.  Oh soooo sweet!!!

{pic via here::special thanx}

For brides wanting a flattering choice for apparel and accessories on their big day, Turquoise is now one of the nearly 200 PANTONE WEDDING Colors available. This beautiful flowing {luvly}  below, is just one of many styles that have designers frequenting their favorite fabric atelier.

Because of its versatility, Turquoise is a great accent color in jewelry, purses, shoes, hair accessories and even nail polish for women, and ties, shirts and sportswear for men'.

Turquoise is an evocative, spa-like hue that adds an undertone of warmth and excitement to any cool space.  adds a splash of excitement to neutrals and browns, complements reds and pinks, creates a classic maritime look with deep blues, livens up all other greens, and is especially trend-setting with yellow-greens.  It seems that Pantone has taken its cues from the beauty of nature.

Is turquoise your Inspiration colour?
