What a wonderfully, selfless gesture!! I just finished tuning in to the Rachael Ray Show this morning, and after polishing off a box of tissue, could not wait to write this post. Playing it backwards- we remember the devastation and havoc that Hurricane Ike wreaked on the citizens of Houston Texas. This natural diseaster uprooted loads of lifes, including the lifes of forty couples. You see, these couples had planned to take their vows in a beautifully appointed tuscany venue that sufferred irreparable damage, at the hands of Ike. More bad news--these couples had spent their (and for some couples, their loved ones) life savings when they booked this all inclusive venue. Even more bad news-- after the Ike devastation, it was impossible to reach the proprietor(s) of the venue!
Okay, playing it forward!--Rachael Ray learns of this romantic hard luck story and, after contacting all of the couples who had booked at this otherwise picturesque venue, whipped her loyal staff in to action. In one week, Rachael and her team played the ultimate Wedding Planners and with the assistance of many of the local business' {including the stadium-sized Minute Maid Park!!} put on one helluva event !
