Cocktail receptions are becoming more and more popular with couples who don't want a "weddingy" wedding. These receptions are anywhere between two and five hours long, and they may involve passes hors d'oeuvres and sweets only or more elaborate "tasting stations" to provide a bit more sustenance.

{Seating} Matters ...

Unless your wedding is very small and very casual, you should create a seating plan that assigns each of your guests to a particular table. It is thoughtful and considerate to make sure everyone has a seat. If you do not assign tables, you risk empty seats or guests who can't sit together.
